Our front doors came from ‘The Body Shop’ in Hamilton when they did a major shop refit. The small clear bottles are old dairy herd testing bottles, the the blue bottles are collected for us by the Huntly Recycling station (blue glass isn’t recycled). The green bottles are the bottles we had when we toasted the birth of our first two grand children & the brown peachy bottles when we farewelled our son to the Philippines. (Many bottles in our earthship are momentous of special occasions)

Our basic recipe for the final wall
rendering is a mix of 20% clay, 60% sand
& 20% cow manure. Once it has dried we
seal it with used canola oil that is the left
over from making our own bio-diesel.
We get it from our local fish & chip shop
